One of the aspects that make Egypt one of the most matchless countries all over the world is that the land of the Nile hosts a huge variety of sights and activities that a traveler can never do all in one trip. However, there are a number of things that are highly recommended for tourists who visit Egypt. Visiting the pyramids, the citadel, Khan El Khalili, snorkeling in the red sea, watching a belly dance show, eating Egyptian food, and going on a Nile Cruise between Aswan and Luxor are among the most important activities that a tourist should do in Egypt.

Going on a Nile cruise between Aswan and Luxor or vice versa has a significant importance for a number of reasons. The first reason is that it offers the traveler the chance to enjoy the majestic atmosphere of traveling in the Nile with a lot of greenery scenes and the chance to view the life of the peasants in Upper Egypt in their natural everyday life as the ship is moving by.

The second reason is that the Nile cruise will organize a number of activities for the tourists every night like belly dancing and oriental shows and Galabeya parties as well. The third reason is that the Nile Curies will enable the tourist to visit all the major monuments in Southern Egypt. The last reason is that Nile Cruises from Luxor to Aswan or vise very are quite luxurious with excellent food, wide cabins, and wonderful roof facilities like swimming pools

M/s Stephanie

It is one of the most deluxe Nile cruises that sail between Aswan and Luxor. It was launched in 2005 as one of the best Nile Cruise ships that Egypt offers to its visitors. The ship contains 4 suits and 72 rooms with French balconies. M/s Stephanie has all the facilities a tourist might be searching for like Televisions, air conditions, and mini bars in the rooms, and a wonderful restaurant that offers a variety of tasty dishes, a bar, a gifts bazaar, a reading area, and a lot of many other facilities

The short itinerary of the Nile Cruise on M/s Stephanie

Day One: arrival to Luxor, embark the M/s Stephanie, lunch on board, visit the Karnak and the Luxor Temple.

Day Two: visiting the monuments of the West Bank of Luxor including the Valley of the Kings, the funerary temple of Hatshepsut, and the colossi of Memnon

Day Three: visiting the temple of Horus located in Edfu

Day Four: visiting the temple of Sobek in Kom Ombo. Visiting the monuments in Aswan including the High Dam, the unfinished Obelisk, and the Philae Temple

Day Five: transfer to Cairo or the optional tour to the amazing Ramses II temple of Abu Simble

Monuments to be visited during the Nile Curies

The Karnak Temple

The Karnak Temple is the largest and most important temple in Luxor and maybe in Egypt as a whole. The temple dedicated to the god Amun and was first constructed by Seti I and the famous Ramses II continued its building.

The Karnak is a very important site because it is a complex that consists of tens of temples. Every Pharo in the Ancient Egyptian New Kingdom wanted to have his addition to the Karnak. The temple of Amun, which is the largest temple in the Karnak Complex, consisted of 140 meters with 122 large columns.

The Karnak Temple is the largest worship place built in the whole entire history. The Karnak Complex was dedicated afterwards for the worship of the holy tripod of Thebes, Amun, Mut, and Khonsu

The Luxor Temple

The temple of Luxor is one of the large temples of ancient Egypt. It is located on the East Bank of Luxor. The Luxor Temple was built 1400 years BC, in the reign of the 18th and the 9th dynasty. It was built for the same reason as the Karnak temple, for the worship of the holy tripod. The Luxor Temple is linked with the Karnak temple with the famous Rams headed sphinxes that marks all the way from Luxor Temple to Karnak Temple

The Valley of the Kings

The Valley of the Kings consists of the burial site and the tombs of the kings of the New Kingdom, the dynasties from the 18th till the 20th. There are more than 28 richly decorated tombs in the Valley of the Kings.

The location of the Valley of the Kings was chosen by the Pharos for different reasons. The first reason is that its strategic location at the end of a valley that was connected to the River Nile in ancient times facilitated transportation from the East Bank, the city of the living, to the Valley of the Kings, in the west bank, the city of the dead. The other reason is the pyramid mountain located in the Valley of the Kings which reminded the Pharos of the New Kingdom of their ancestors of the old kingdom who were able to build the pyramids in Giza.

The most important tomb in the Valley of the Kings is the tomb of Tut Ankh Amun, discovered by Howard Carter in 1922.

The Temple of Hatshepsut

The temple of Hatshepsut, in the West Bank of Luxor is one of the most remarkable temples of ancient Egypt. It was constructed by Queen Hatshepsut who ruled Egypt for a period from 1503 to 1482 BC and she was a great Queen. Her mortuary temple is an evidence of her greatness. The Hatshepsut Temple is one of the best decorated and preserved temples in Egypt

The colossi of Memnon

The gigantic Colossi of Memnon is the only remaining item from the great temple of Amenhotep III. Each of these two statues is more than 19 meters high. These two statues got the name “Memnon” due to an interesting story. One of the statues had some cracking and it used to produce some noise. Therefore, the Greeks named these two statues after their legendary hero Memnon who died in the Troy battle.

The Temple of Horus in Edfu

The temple of Edfu was built for the worship of the god Horus in the Ptolemaic times and it the best preserved Ptolemaic temple in Egypt. The temple was built between the years 237 and 57 BC.

The Temple of Sobek in Kom Ombo

The Kom Ombo temple was built on a site that is directly facing the river Nile in small town of Kom Ombo to the North of Luxor. This temple was dedicated to Horus and the Sobek, the crocodile god.

The building work of the temple started around the year 160 BC and it was totally completed around the year 50 BC. The temple is divided into two sections one for Sobek and one for Horus. The most remarkable element of this temple is the ceiling that still contains bright colors and scenes of the Ptolemy XIII presenting the offerings to the gods

The High dam

The high dam is a water dam located in Aswan to the far South of Egypt. It was constructed during the reign of the former Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser and the high dam was completed in the year 1971.

The High Dam helps Egypt to restore needed water and to generate electricity as well. The high dam is 360 meters long, 111 meters high, and the base of the dam is 980 meters wide. The high dam was built by the help of the Soviet Union at the time

The unfinished obelisk

The unfinished obelisk is located in Aswan. It is the largest obelisk in the entire history of ancient Egypt. It was broken while being constructed and this was why its building work was never completed.

The unfinished obelisk is 41 meters long. The importance of this site is that it is a practical demonstration of how ancient Egyptians constructed these huge obelisks

The Temple of Philae

The Ptolemaic temple of Philae is one of the most beautiful temples of ancient Egypt. The Philae temple was originally constructed for the worship of the goddess Isis. The legend has it that Isis was able to find the heart of her murdered husband Osiris on the island of Philae and from that point in time, this island became a holy land.

The whole complex of the temple of Philae was dismantled and reconstructed again in another location by the UNESCO after the flooding of the river Nile that took place after the building of the high dam.

Morocco is an exciting, unique and friendly country which is situated in North Africa with coast in the Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. Morocco is always an ideal place for tourists and it has many attractive points for them. Morocco is the best place to see both ancient and modern side together.

The first stop for best places to see in Morocco is in the Atlantic Coast region. The Atlantic Coast has been an important aspect of Morocco’s economy due to the trade routes, fishing exports, along with textile and industrial goods. The Blue Lagoon, a top site for bird watchers to see the numerous species in Morocco, is well known for having species that cannot be found anywhere else.

Next place to watch is The Mediterranean Coast. The Mediterranean Coast include north of the Rif Mountains. The Rif Mountains are not as high in altitude as the High Atlas Mountains in lower Morocco, but they do provide quite a bit of leisurely walkabouts for visitors.

Outside the city, two most fabulous sites the Grottes de Hercules (a cave of mythical value) and Cap Spartel (where the Mediterranean and Atlantic Ocean meet) are the best places to visit at Morocco’s northernmost point.

Next comes The Imperial Cities of Morocco that once held (and still hold) royal valor. These cities were once the seats of kings and dynasties which once ruled over the Kingdom. Those cities are Rabat, Meknes, Fez, and Marrakesh. Fez and Marrakesh are most arguably the best Imperial Cities to visit if you have to manage your time in Morocco. In Fez, be sure to take a tour of the medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is made up of over 9,000 alleys, streets, and dead-ends. Marrakesh, the Red City, is Morocco’s hottest and most crowded venues in the entire country. Marrakesh has its main attraction known as “The main square” comes to life with fortune tellers, acrobats, food stalls, and other vendors from dusk until dawn 360 days per year. Cafes align the square and several restaurants serve good food for cheap. Marrakesh also has Morocco’s most alluring spot known as the High Atlas Mountains. Jbel (Mount) Toubkal is the highest mountain peak in Morocco. Every year thousands of tourists come to visit High Atlas Trek in order to reach the summit of Toubkal.

Since medieval times, Egypt has always been a favorite destination for tourists from all over the world. The good weather, the many beaches of the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea, and the diversity of monuments that the land of the pharos hosts always attracted travelers from different regions to come and visit Egypt.

However, with all the political events that started with the people’s revolution against the government on the 25th of January 2011, and with many countries placing warnings to travelers who want to visit Egypt in this period like the United States of America and Canada, many questions jump in the head of a tourist before thinking of coming to Egypt. The most important question is “is it safe to visit Egypt now?” and The answer to this question is “Yes” for many different reasons

The tourism business in Egypt has proved that it was able to be strong enough to pass through a number of challenges in the past few decades. The travel companies, with the help of the Egyptian people and the Egyptian government, were always able to get through all of these obstacles.

The first challenge was the incident that took place in Luxor in 1997 when a group of criminals attacked a number of tourists in the Hatshepsut temple in the West Bank. This accident affected the tourism business in Sothern Egypt for years. However, the Egyptian government, by increasing the security masseurs in the region and adding security gates at the entrance of every monument in Luxor and Aswan, was able to attract tourists again to come to Egypt. The Egyptian people as well played a major role in making their country regain its position in the international tourism business.

The second hard challenge that the travel business in Egypt had to face was the bombing that took place in Sharm El Sheikh in 2005. However, the whole image and environment in Sharm El Sheikh after this incident was totally different from what happened in Luxor as tourists coming to Egypt knew that these accidents happen everywhere in the world and not only in Egypt.

Although the number of tourists coming to Egypt and to Sharm El Sheikh in particular decreased, a large number of tourists, especially from Russia, the United States, and England, didn’t cancel their reservations, went to Egypt, and enjoyed their trip very much.

I had the chance to visit Sharm El Sheikh two weeks after the bombing and the beaches, restaurants, hotels, and nightspots were full of tourists. ” I feel secure in Sharm El Sheikh more than my own country”, one tourist said at the time.

Moreover, things are getting calmer and calmer in Egypt as time passes by. Especially after the Egyptian former president, Hosny Mubarak, and his sons, Gamal and Alaa, as well as many other corrupted high officials, were put in jail and are they awaiting their trials now.

The Egyptian people now feel that their revolution have achieved its goals and the streets in Cairo and all the other cities around Egypt are gradually getting back to normal.

The Egyptian police forces that withdrew from the streets in the beginning of the revolution on the 28th of January are now going back to their position in the streets of Egypt. The new Egyptian minster of interior affairs, Mr. Mansour Al Esewy, declared that all the policemen and police officers are already back in their positions everywhere in Egypt. Even the curfew that was set during the last two months has been informally cancelled now and you see people in the streets till the dawn.

Furthermore, all the museums, ancient monuments, archeological sites have been reopened again and they are operating with normal working hours. Even the Egyptian Museum of antiquities, which is located in the middle of the Tahrir square where the Egyptian revolution factually took place was reopened in March and the visitors were welcomed by flowers when they enter the museum.

On the other hand, Franco Frattini, The Italian Minster of foreign affairs noted that Egypt is getting more and more stable and encouraged the Italians to visit Egypt in large numbers as they used to do. This is the case with many other European countries that their governments have canceled the warnings concerning traveling to Egypt.

All of these factors encouraged tourists from different European countries to visit Egypt In the previous period. the airports of Luxor, Sharm El Sheikh, and Hurghada have received hundreds of tourists in the end of March and in the beginning of April

Another important advantage for travelers to visit Egypt now is to enjoy the wonderful weather in cities like Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh on the Red Sea and Luxor and Aswan in the South of Egypt. The weather in these cities is still not very hot in the morning and wonderful in the afternoon and at night. In a month or two, the weather would be too hot for travelers to enjoy their stay in these major Egyptian cities.

Travelers, should as well, take advantage of the great deals and low price packages that the Egyptian tourism companies, hotels, shops, and restaurants are offering now. A tourist can save up to 30% if he visits Egypt now and he will still enjoy himself and feel secured in the land of the Nile.

Egypt is and will always be a safe country to visit. Tourist from all over the world will always feel secured in Egypt more than any other country in Europe or in America.

Usually activities and stops in any city in Europe would close up at 9 or 10 at night. This is not the case for Egypt. One can enjoy himself and have a lot of activities to do until late at night or even until sunrise. A lot of people like to call Cairo, the city that never sleeps.

The Egyptian people have always been known for their wonderful hospitality and generosity with tourists. “We are always friendly with foreigners and they are the very important to us, we would defend them with our own lives. They are our guests and we consider our guest as a family member”, a taxi driver said in an interview in the Egyptian Television.

Right-travel is best travel agency in providing fabulous vacation packages to all the tourist, Egypt tours is main point to spend vacations .There are more countries which right-travel covers they are listed as: Italy tours , Greece tours , Morocco travel, peru travel , India tours, Oman travel, etc..Have a look to our special Egypt travel packages

There are some countries in the world that you must visit at least once in your life. Egypt is one of them. There is so much to see and do in this country that you will surely want to go there again and again. But before you start imagining how wonderful your vacation experience will be, you have to plan it first. There are a lot of cheap holidays to Egypt available at present so you just need to make sure you will make the most out of your time in the country.

The truth is that there is not actual peak holiday season in Egypt. The Western tourists usually visit the country from October to May. During this time the temperatures in the desert are more bearable. On the other hand, you can expect huge crowds during this peak season. If you think that this is the most appropriate time for your holiday, you should definitely book your package or your flight, accommodation and activities in advance.

Alternatively you can arrange with your travel agent to get a last minute offer. Often there are some vacation packages left and these have to be bought before the actual planned holiday begins. Thus, this is one way to find cheap holidays in Egypt even during the peak season for international travelers.

Popular Egypt Destinations

First is Cairo the capital city located along the banks of the Nile River. There, you will find a mix of the ancient with the modern. Take tours of some of the best museums in the world, shop in world-famous bazaars, dine at exquisite restaurants and enjoy the comfort of five-star resorts.

Alexandria, once a great cosmopolitan and a rival to the mighty Rome in its heyday, is the second largest city in Egypt and is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea. Luxor is the dynastic and religious capitol of Egypt with vast temples and royal tombs.

Aswan offers hundreds of historical monuments to visit. Near Aswan is Elephantine Island. There are many important artifacts there as well as beautiful gardens. After a few hours of sightseeing, you will find enjoyment as you sit and look over the picturesque landscape.

Overall, the careful planning of your cheap holiday to Egypt can make the experience not only cost efficient, but also truly memorable.
